The DIICSU Summer School 2026 is delighted to offer students the opportunity to visit the University of Dundee from Monday 3rd to Friday 14th August 2026.

During the summer school, participants will take part in an exciting programme of academic sessions, hands-on workshops, cultural experiences, and social activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore a range of disciplines within science and engineering, connect with students from around the world, and discover Scotland’s rich heritage.

Accommodation will be provided on campus in University of Dundee student residences. Meals will be provided on teaching days when activities take place on campus.

The programme will also include day trips to other locations, such as Edinburgh, the Highlands, St Andrews, and local Dundee attractions including the V&A Dundee and Discovery Point. These visits will offer participants a taste of Scottish culture and unique learning experiences. Please note that no catering will be provided on excursion days.

The 39th Scottish Fluid Mechanics Meeting will be hosted by the Fluid Mechanics Research Group in the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Dundee on Wednesday 27 May 2026. 

We welcome contributions on all aspects of fluid mechanics and related topics for what promises to be an informal and lively meeting. We particularly welcome PhD students and post-doctoral researchers at early stages to attend and give talks on their research. The Scottish Fluid Mechanics Meetings aim to provide a congenial environment in which to present your own work (sometimes for the first time) as well as excellent opportunities to meet others researchers active in the field.  We also encourage posters submissions to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to showcase their recent work.  We look forward to welcoming you to Dundee in May.
